Slash Links

Recs Judicata - Here is what it used to be: Het, slash, and gen, the best L&O (all shows) recs site, where the recommendations are made every month by the women of The Ham Sandwich. A very nice archive-type rec site. Here is what is is now: Gone. Fanfiction fans: Not happy.

L&O:SVU Femslash Index - A recently compiled list of not only SVU femslash, but Abbie-slash stories, too. Nice job by angie in putting this one together!

The Law and Order Slash Archive - an archive that's the only one of its kind. Covers all of the shows in the Law and Order universe, but I think it's long deserted for updates.

Suspenders - Dorothy Wilson's site that is all things Ben Stone, including her Stone/Logan fiction.

Dorothy Marley's Fan Fiction - A different Dorothy, but who also writes Stone/Logan. Her lengthy story about Mike Logan before he became a detective is highly recommended. Also includes other fandoms.

McCoy/Green Stories by others

Thwart's Jack/Ed "itty bitty fics." Responses to five-minute challenges. Sweet and funny. They can be found on her Miscellany page; scroll down near the bottom. "The Sap With His Ass In The Air"; "Flaming Toast"; "Stupid, Reckless, Caught"

Only Sense -- jessebee's contribution to the Choices Made universe is a story with some lovely Jack/Ed overtones. Ed helps Lennie move to a new apartment, and uncovers something rather fascinating. There might be a sequel to this one :-), at least I hope so.

Mind Over Matter -- jessebee's response to the Here's Lookin' At You challenge at LJ's Thursday100+. Someone's pining over someone else. Has a slight angst warning.

Mind Over Matter, Redux -- jessebee decided to write another, less angsty version.

Hawk I. Cat's  Jack/Ed fics.   A few short pieces with very nice characterization
and bits of angst here and there:

Placing Blame
Hungover
Scars

There are others of you out there with Jack/Ed stories in the works. I know, because you tell me ;-). Please send me the links whenever you post, and I'll add them here.

A Gen Recommendation

I don't usually recommend an individual piece of fanfiction, but this one is just too good. A parody, of L&O, Dick Wolf, fanfiction, etc., in honor of Valentine's Day, 2003. Written by Cirocco and Leslie Rampey. A Very L&O Valentine. Oh, it's het, but  it's hilarious. Highly recommend it.

Stuff in General

This is... simply f'ing funny. Sam Waterston doing a commercial parody for Saturday Night Live, back in 1995. For insurance. Robot insurance. Because we all need protection ;-). And Sam, "of the popular series, Law & Order," has the I'm not a lawyer, but I play one on teevee respectability to make us all feel safer :-).

Here is a link to the ultimate in Law & Order Sound Wavs. Yes, you, too, can have the folks from L&O remarking upon all kinds of computer actions. I have Jack saying, "I don't have time today to play What's My Line," when my computer doesn't feel like doing what I've asked it to do. Or Lennie saying, "Fascinating. I think you missed a spot over there," whenever I shut down. Great fun for the truly fanatic in all of us. Now, if only the site was still active, and some of the classic lines from the episode Judge Dread could be made available:

Ed (after handing suspect a pen, emphasizing each word by stabbing the paper in front of the guy with a finger): "Write it.  Stank.  Assed.  Bitch."
Lennie watches. Ed grabs the paper when he's done, reads it, rolls his eyes. "Look, Lennie, he misspelled 'bitch'."
Lennie reads it. "Again."
